Can we use our existing telephones if we install VoIP?
Yes and no. Some office phone models can be used on VoIP networks and other models can be converted for the new network. TRC Solutions is dedicated to maximizing the reuse of your existing technology and will ensure that you purchase only the necessary hardware, including telephones.
How does TRC deliver its VoIP service?
The VoIP service is delivered through an Internet connection or through a direct telephone connection using the TRC solution. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages and once TRC will analyze the requirements and then choose the best suits method matching the needs.

What Equipment Do I Need?
For a basic VoIP system, all you need are a broadband Internet connection and a VoIP-enabled phone; a traditional phone connected to an adapter; or a complete TRC solution.
We already have phone lines coming into our office; can we use those with TRC Solution?
Yes. You'll need an interface card though. TRC have two types of interface cards, a 4 port analog interface card and a 1 port T1 card. Analog lines are the normal telephone lines you're used to, plug an analog handset in and make calls. T1s are digital lines that carry up to 24 voice channels; they need some hardware, or a TRC Solution. If you need any help with this, please let us know.
What is the difference between Hosted PBX and “Virtual” PBX services?
Some companies provide “virtual” PBX services as part of virtual office offering. The Virtual PBX services are actually a voice system that accepting call and “forward” the call to destination such as cell phone and landline. It is only one-way call, and you will still need paying phone service fee to other telephone company. With dedicated “hosted” PBX, you get 2-way unlimited calls; it can just replace your office phone system and phone lines. TRC can setup both services.
What should I do if I also need “virtual” PBX services?
You will have to select TRC as your complete solution vendor.
Will TRC install the solution for us?
Yes! TRC offers turn-key service including exact needs assessment, project planning and system roll-out. TRC has years of experience replacing old phone systems with the next generation of IP PBX’s. The scope of the project may include working with your telephone company and IT department as well as staff training to ensure a smooth implementation process.
Do we receive any support when we purchase TRC Solution?
Of course, three months of free technical support is included which should be more than enough time to get up and running
Can I supply my own handsets?
Yes! TRC Solution will work with any SIP compliant device and we are happy to recommend the right handset for your particular requirements. TRC can also provide you with handsets as part of the Solution. |
